Deborah K. Taber

Deborah is Vice President of the Organizational Development practice at Strategex.

Deborah’s philosophy is to work in partnership with clients to achieve organizational effectiveness through its people resources. She specializes in organizational change, leadership development, strategic planning, executive coaching and assessment, 360° feedback systems, teambuilding, training, and employee communications.

Deborah has over twenty-five years of experience in organizational development and human resources. She was president of her own OD consulting firm for five years. She also worked as a management consultant for Ernst & Young, The Hay Group and Modern Management. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, manufacturing, health care, insurance, not-for-profit associations, financial services, and the public sector. In addition to organizational change, executive coaching, leadership and team development, Deborah specializes in facilitating process improvement teams, performance management, employee opinion surveys and strategic planning.

In addition to her consulting experience, Deborah was the Managing Director of Corporate Resource Development for Cohen Financial, a financial investment services firm and Director of Human Resources at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. In these capacities, she directed a culture change process; initiated an internal university program; developed a 360-degree performance review system; facilitated self-directed work teams and TQM committees. She also developed and conducted employee opinion surveys, compensation studies and internal employee newsletters.

Deborah holds a B.A. in Political Science from St. Mary’s College, South Bend, Indiana and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, Lake Forest, Illinois. Deborah is a noted speaker and seminar leader for numerous associations and groups including A.S.P.A., A.S.H.H.R.A., The American Bar Association, HRMAC and various CEO Roundtables. She is a trained coach with Coaches Training Institute and she is also a qualified instructor for the MBTI and the Management Resources Group’s LEA 360 assessment tool. She is also on the executive board of Chicago Healthcare Executive Forum.
