Alan Hale, Vice President
Alan is a Vice President and Research Director at Strategex and has extensive experience managing research studies to drive actionable strategies and tactics.
Alan has over 28 years of consulting experience in a wide range of business-to-business markets.
Functionally, Alan focuses on market research, customer segmentation, marketing strategy, and design. He has led project teams in over 125 client assignments and has worked with companies that have manufacturers’ sales reps, and are selling to third party channels. His emphasis is on understanding what the customer wants and expects, how to differentiate commodity products, and the understanding of customer attitudes and behavior — in short, how they behave, and what can get them to change their behavior.
Prior to joining Strategex Alan was a Principal at a research consulting firm during the nineties and Consultant/Project Manager at a marketing consulting firm specializing in Channel Management (1979 to 1990).
Alan has worked for companies including IBM, Rust-Oleum, Nalco Chemical, Corn Products International, Fenner Conveyor Belting, National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, Newark InOne, Synthetic Industries, and many others.
He holds an MBA in Marketing from University of Wisconsin Madison and a BA in Psychology from University of Illinois. He has served as president of the local affiliate of Sales & Marketing Executives and on the board for Sales & Marketing Executives International. He has also served on his local school board for six years.
