VOC/Research > Methods

Our Process

Success comes from asking the right questions, the right way, to the right people. It’s crucial that this process be seamless. That’s why Strategex will learn your history, your industry, the challenges you face, and your competitive landscape. Your customers will be impressed with the way our interviewers engage them and invite their commentary.

Kicking Off the Process

Partnership and open, honest discussion is the key to a successful VOC study. In our initial meetings, we’ll learn all we can about your company, key issues, and how you have tried to solve those issues in the past. We will then develop a robust survey instrument and data collection tools for our researchers to use when speaking with your customers.

A senior Strategex executive will be your guide throughout the research process. You will never be handed down to a lower-level employee.

Our Methods

Depending on your needs, we will choose the appropriate means through which to conduct our research — either via telephone and/or Web-based interviews or focus groups.

Conducting Customer Interviews

VOC Typical project timeline

Based on what we’ve learned from you, we develop a questionnaire and begin the interviews. Our researchers remain independent from your company, placing their calls from Strategex and, in some cases, not revealing for whom the study is being conducted. Our researchers begin by calling targeted respondents and requesting appointments for a 30–45 minute interview. These interviews may initially seem like an imposition, but we find that participants are often happy to be invited to engage in thoughtful discussion about their business needs. Given the opportunity, your customers will probably have a lot to say.
